Idea:Enable the NeoEd/Banner API to automatically update departments (organizations) based on active positions.Business Need:Currently, our institution must manually update departments (organizations) on a weekly basis. During implementation, the department data was loaded as a one-time import, but there is no ongoing synchronization to keep it current.Adding the ability to automatically update departments through the API on a scheduled basis would eliminate the need for manual maintenance, ensure organizational data remains accurate, and reduce administrative workload. This enhancement would improve data consistency between Banner and NeoEd while saving staff time and minimizing the risk of outdated or incorrect department information.

This issue is intermittent and everything looks correct on the data form and in Banner. What field determines if it’s hourly or salary? 

Here is a quick update regarding the Summer 2026 release, which expands preferred name visibility across NEOED talent management products (Onboard, Perform, etc.).If your institution utilizes the Banner–NEOED integration, please keep the following in mind:Integration Roadmap: Preferred name capability is not yet supported via the Banner integration. While our team is actively working on this enhancement, a firm release date has not been set. Manual Entry: The integration will not overwrite preferred names that are manually entered directly into an employee profile.
