2023 Federal Form W-4 Deployment Date

Hi Onboard users, 

The 2023 Federal W4 Form will be deployed to your production accounts on Tuesday, January 3 at 3:00 am PST.

There are only three changes we will be making to the Standard W4. They are:

• Changing the background image to the new 2023 form version
• Changing the "Employer's name and address" field from single text to multiline text with 500 characters as the max input length
• Increasing the max input length for Middle Initial from 1 to 3 characters

All customizations done on the 2022 W4 will be copied to the new version of the form. These include but are not limited to: custom form permissions, form workflows, overrides, predefined field values, field names, and form location.

Please remember that all standard implications of creating a new form version that are related to Onboard checklists, eForms processes, and outstanding forms and form tasks will be respected when we release the new version of the W4.
