Manual upgrade and New Assessment

My agency is ready to archive our current assessment and create a new one for the next assessment period.

We are not currently in the most recent version of the manual. Would it be better to upgrade to the newest version before or after archiving and starting a new assessment?

I remember hearing it was better to do it one way versus the other but don’t remember which it was.

We need to go from version 6.22 to 6.24

Help is appreciated!

As stated, yes, archive the current assessment and do not upgrade.

Then, open the new assessment in the same (old) version of the manual as your previous assessment.

Next, copy all your proofs from the old assessment to the new one (copying must take place between matching manual versions).

Once you have copied over your proofs, THEN update to the newest version of the manual in your new assessment.

You want to to be in the manual that the assessment was done in when you archive.  I believe if I remember correctly, I archived in the manual that was in play at the time of my assessment, then upgraded when I created the new assessment.  Someone correct me if I am wrong………..but mine looks like this.

I appreciate you asking this question because I am in the exact same situation.  Assessment completed in 6.22, upgrading to 6.24 and need to archive soon.  I appreciate the answers to this!

I would archive old assessment and then upgrade the manual in the new assessment.
