Scenario When Issue Encountered Issue Resolved

SF Case 26983: City of Florence, Alabama

Issue: When Business Calendars were either being created or extended and  they would cross fiscal years, they were not being named correctly. So for example if in the middle of the calendar, one of the periods spanned from 2024 to 2025, the name would still have 2024 instead of being the first calendar in 2025. This was confusing users who saw a mismatch between the name and the period that it belonged to.

Resolved to correct this naming convention when the calendar is either being created or extended. So for example when creating a calendar with a start date of 12/29/2024 and each period had 14 days. Previously when creating the calendar the first record in that calendar would be like this:

  • Period Name : 202401

  • Start Date: 12/29/2024

  • End Date: 01/12/2025

After the change it has been fixed to be:

  • Period Name : 202501

  • Start Date: 12/29/2024

  • End Date: 01/12/2025

Fixed warning message when the benefit plan frequency doesn’t line up with the frequency associated with the payroll. Used to follow the pattern “<<PLAN NAME>> - The Plan did NOT pass Frequency Validation: NOT the X]  Pay in Period”.

The second part was confusing so removed it, so it just says   “<PLAN NAME>> - The Plan did NOT pass Frequency Validation”
