General Changes
The Enhanced Field Reordering feature for PowerAction empowers administrators to customize the layout of their reports with a user-friendly drag-and-drop interface.
- Reorder form fields within and between predefined sections of the Use of Force report.
- Lock or unlock sections based on role-based permissions.
- Ensure the data entry form matches the configured layout for a seamless officer experience.
- Lay the groundwork for future state-specific compliance and easier onboarding of new report types.
Reordering Officer Reports
- To reorder a report, first navigate to Settings> PowerAction admin> PowerAction reports.
- Locate an existing report template or create a new one. Fields are visually grouped into rows and sections.
- Use drag-and-drop to reorder fields within section or to move custom fields between sections. Each field displays in a delineated box for clarity with checkboxes and headings clearly labeled.
Note: Some rows do not allow independent movement and are locked with other fields, such as Location and Name.
- Save your configuration. The officer data-entry form automatically updates to reflect the new layout.
Note: Form validation and audit logging remain enforced regardless of layout changes.
