Hi Peder,

When the 2025 Winter Update was announced, the PowerAction section mentioned there were pending updates to Action Reporting. One of the specific updates was streamlined workflow configuration, cleaner interface, flexible routing, assign to any user-built to match our actual structure.

During todays (1/29/2026) webinar, none of this was mentioned as a pending update.

Is this still a planned update?

I asked because right now, in PowerAction, there is no way to notify the author of a report that their report has been approved. Even if you override the workflow and try to add them, even as a notification, the system removes their notification. This is a major break in the communication and feedback loop. This causes you to have to go out of the system to notify people of the status of their reports when they are finished.

During today’s webinar, I asked in the chat about this, and was talking to someone, but then the webinar ended, so the chat ended as well.

Larger improvements to workflow are being considered right now for Internal Affairs, but no big changes are currently planned for Action Report workflow.

But, I am always wanting to learn ways we can improve, so this is valuable information to have. You can email me at plunde@neogov.net with more details or to set up time for a discussion.
