General Changes
- You can now link QR Codes to multiple Surveys within PowerEngage and keep the surveys and codes active at the same time.
- To do this: From the survey, click the Manage button in the upper left of the screen above the survey name.
- Switch the QR code Enable toggle to ON to enable this feature for that survey.
- Two new fields display. Both will be included in the text message a person will use to start the survey after scanning the QR Code.
- The Start Word must be unique across all surveys. Engage uses this word to identify the correct survey to link the feedback to.
- The QR Token must also be unique. PowerEngage uses this to identify a specific QR Code version in case you deactivate a previous QR Code.
- if you leave the QR Token field blank, the app will generate a random token.
- We recommend you add text to this field to avoid citizen confusion after scanning the QR Code.
- If you Regenerate a QR code, it deactivates any previous QR codes created for this survey. This is not something you can reverse, so do this only when you will no longer use that specific QR code.
- The Download QR Code button downloads an image of the QR code to your computer’s default download folder. If you press the button multiple times, either in one login session or if you come back later to redownload, it will give you a copy of the same QR code without regenerating a new version.
- Improved ad simplified the QR code configuration. The previous method of using Inbound Initiated Surveys is still available and will still work as it has previously. This new method is better when wanting to link QR code surveys to individual Personnel (Reminder: you can create QR codes for this Inbound Initiated Survey for each Personnel in Engage).
- Using this new feature, you can now configure different surveys to post a QR code throughout your community to gather feedback in different scenarios. For example:
- Post one in each public park to understand how safe the community feels at the park.
- Post one on handouts for events to gather feedback after the event.
- Post one in your lobby or near your front desk to gather general department feedback.
- Engage now includes two new types of Survey Feedback Sentiment: None and Other.
- None automatically applies with AI Sentiment Analysis when comments such as Stop, No, or when survey takers use negative connotation emojis. None can be useful to track comments that truly do not have a sentiment, helping to keep Neutral feedback easier to identify.
- AI Sentiment Analysis will automatically apply Other for Inappropriate comments or if the AI system is temporarily inaccessible.
- Anywhere sentiment is displayed or used, PowerEngage will include these Sentiment types, including Reports, Satisfaction, Survey Criteria, Activity Email Digest settings, and Public Feedback Board settings.
- Survey feedback now has a checkbox next to it to mark the comment as Noteworthy.
- AI Sentiment Analysis will automatically check this checkbox when it determines a positive or negative comment is exceptional.
- With this release, AI Sentiment Analysis will only mark Positive or Negative feedback as Noteworthy. In future updates or based on feedback, we may enable the AI to mark this for other types as well.
- Noteworthy marks positive comments to let you know when Personnel deserve an extra pat on the back.
- Noteworthy on negative comments indicates extreme situations when you may need to pay additional attention, such as a conversation with Personnel or the citizen.
- You can manually check or uncheck the Noteworthy checkbox, just like you are able to manually update the AI-assigned sentiment.
- You can also have a task triggered that includes only Noteworthy feedback.
- Anywhere sentiment is displayed or used in Engage, it will include this Noteworthy value (true/false), including Satisfaction, Survey Criteria, Activity Email Digest settings, and Public Feedback Board settings. We will update Reports in a future release to include Noteworthy feedback
- AI Sentiment Analysis will automatically check this checkbox when it determines a positive or negative comment is exceptional.
- Updated the Satisfaction Page for individual Personnel.
- Updated the order of sections to include Scale feedback that relates to CPSS, which includes the bar graph and survey ratings displayed at the top.
- Survey Ratings display in two columns with arrows below to help you navigate to see additional ratings.
- Survey Comments display at the bottom of the page. The summary boxes now filter specific feedback Sentiment, letting you see only feedback of the selected sentiment at one time.
- You can choose All to show all the sentiment like it previously displayed.
- The filter defaults to Positive Feedback.
- The percentages in each box represent how many comments apply to that sentiment type for the date range.
- Noteworthy Feedback now displays at the top of each list, helping you identify comments faster.
- To help reduce manual effort of maintaining accurate survey data, when a positive comment response immediately follows a negative scale rating response on a survey, the Scale Rating is automatically excluded.
- This exclusion will only apply when the comment question is immediately after the scale question and each has the same Subject Role assigned.
- Multiple pairs of questions like this can exist on one survey, and each pair will include this new behavior.
- PowerEngage will add a comment to let you know when this occurs.
- PowerEngage will not automatically create Tasks in these scenarios to help reduce your notifications.
- This same concept applies if a negative comment immediately follows a positive scale rating.
- This exclusion will only apply when the comment question is immediately after the scale question and each has the same Subject Role assigned.
- Updated the Rule and Survey pages to include a Back button to take you back to the main lists. You are also able to now use your browser’s back button to navigate back to the lists.
- For agencies using the Top Navigation bar that is part of Platform, the middle click mouse button will now open menu items in a new browser tab.
