Add Comments when Adjusting Leave Balances
When using the Adjust Balance option on the Time Off Information page, administrators now have the option to add a comment. After clicking Adjust Balance, you will see the option to adjust the hours and add comments in the Add Notes section.

If any hours are entered before clicking Confirm, the notes will be attached to that adjustment. If hours are entered for both Taken AND Earned, the same comment will attach to both of these adjustments.
We’ll be adding more visibility into these notes in the future, but here is where you can view them now.
- On the Time Off Information page.
- Clicking the Transactions tab shows credits and debits for all leave policies. Expanding a transaction shows more information. The Comment field will show any notes added when using the Adjust Balance functionality.
- In Analytics & Reporting.
- When creating or editing a Time Off History report, you may add a Comments column to the report. This field shows the comments attached to the leave adjustment.
Value
Allows administrators to provide context into why a leave policy balance was adjusted, and for other administrators to gain insight into balance changes. This provides more clarity for changes throughout the Time & Attendance module.
Audience
Administrators who may need to add and view these comments.
Example
If an administrator wants to deduct time from a person’s leave bank because of a missed time off request, they can now add comments to note the exact date and time that this took place.
Preventing Partial Days for Multi-Day Leave Requests
When requesting time off, users were previously able to keep the Partial Day Leave Request option toggled ON when submitting a request for multiple dates.
With this release, the toggle is disabled, and cannot be enabled, when users request multiple days off.
Value
Prevents users from submitting an invalid request, which may result in errors.
Audience
All users.
Example
If a user wants to submit a leave request for 1/15/2026 - 1/20/2026, then the partial day toggle will be disabled.
Appendix: Bugs Resolved
