To enhance security and improve performance, NEOGOV will discontinue support for HTTP/1.1 on February 17, 2025. Modern browsers including the most recent version of Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Microsoft Edge, and Safari support newer protocols (HTTP/2 and HTTP/3). Browsers that support HTTP/2 and HTTP/3 offer better encryption and faster load times, ensuring a secure and improved user experience.

What You Need to Know:

  • If you use an up-to-date browser or system, you don’t need to take action.

  • If you use outdated software or devices, update your browser/system to avoid service disruptions.

  • For IT administrators: Verify intermediate devices like proxies or firewalls fully support and allow HTTP/2 or HTTP/3.

How to Prepare:

  1. Confirm you and your employees are using a modern web browser (a recent version of Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Microsoft Edge, and Safari)

  2. Share this information with your IT team and ask them to:
    1. Check your browsers for compatibility with HTTP/2 or HTTP/3.

    2. Confirm compatibility across your infrastructure.
