We’re thrilled to share that the GovernmentJobs.com job board is getting a major upgrade!


This redesign is part of our ongoing modernization initiative to make it easier for job seekers to discover, engage with, and apply to public sector jobs, while helping employers reach the right candidates faster.

These updates bring a modern, mobile-first, and accessible search experience to more than 2 million users visiting the GovernmentJobs platform every month. By improving discoverability, relevance, and engagement, these changes directly enhance how your job postings perform on the public job board.

Modern Search Interface and Filters

 

We’ve introduced a redesigned job search interface that allows candidates to search across multiple categories, job types, remote options, and employers all at once. New expanded options, such as additional salary ranges and distance proximity filters, give seekers even more control over their search. Dynamic, real-time filters ensure seekers quickly find the most relevant roles based on all their granular filters, improving both search accuracy and speed.

When a matching job is posted, they’re notified immediately via email.

Job seekers now see highly relevant “similar job” recommendations directly on the job details page, often revealing opportunities beyond what they initially searched for. These suggestions are generated using factors such as job description similarity, location proximity, salary range, and related categories, highlighting top-matching roles either within your organization or across others. This accelerates the job discovery process and keeps candidates engaged longer.
