How do I set up a PowerDMS account for another department to view a specific standard in my assessment year? Would I set this up as a “Mock Assessment”

When I make my request to other departments, I usually copy the standard and paste it in an email to them.

    HI @Veronica.S15

When you’re inviting any user to view your assessment, more specifically someone that isn’t currently a active user within your site, you must first create them as a new user.

When you create the new user, you can use the option “Send Welcome Email", this way they will receive a email with your Site Key information as well as a way for them to set up their own password.

After they’ve been created as a user within your site, that is when you can add them into your assessment in the appropriate role.

Here are some articles you can find within the community about roles/responsibilities as well as mock assessors.

    Security Assessments

    Hope this helps!

Daniella, thank you for the thorough answer to this question.  We are about to begin a Mock assessment as well, and this was really helpful.

If you set them up as a user and assign their role as a mock assessor, I’m not aware of a way that you can limit them to certain standards. When I have asked someone to view a certain group of standards, they actually have access to all of them. I have never had an issue, but I have only used other AMs that I know. The only other way that I am aware of is to do as someone previously suggested, copy and paste into an email.

    Good Luck!

    HI @Dwayne.R

Just a follow up...if you assign ANY role at the ROOT of the assessment, that assignment carries over throughout the whole assessment.
However, if you wanted to limit the visibility based on the role, you could always make an assignment at the chapter or even the standard level.

    See images below for reference

    Assignment made at Chapter 3
Group Name - HR Coordinator (Accred)
    Role - Accred Team Member

Created additional groups under “Accred Team Member" group

    Just food for thought!
