We would like to inform you that our team has begun working on the 2025 Federal Form W4. You can expect the 2025 W4 to be available in production on January 7th, 2025.

As mentioned in our previous post, there are no change to the fields. There are minor changes to the description text throughout the form as well as updated tax brackets on page 4.

Please note that employees are not required to complete a new W4 and withholdings should continue based on a valid form previously completed. There are no expiration dates with the W4. However, special rules apply to employees claiming exemption from withholding on their W4s. If an employee claims exemption from withholding for 2024, they should submit a new W4 by February 15, 2025.
