What to do if your users receive login errors

If your users receive login errors with this upgrade, then you need to take an additional step when setting up AD.  Have an IT administrator or system admin within your agency complete the steps below:

  1. Log into the Azure Portal and navigate to: Azure Active Directory > App Registrations.
  2. Select your application registration.
  3. Go to the Authentication blade.
  4. Copy the URL listed under the Web section.
  5. Delete the URL from the Web section and click Save.*
  6. Under Platform Configurations, click Add a platform, then choose Single-page application.
  7. Paste the same URL you copied earlier and click Configure.
  8. Close all browser tabs, clear your browser cache, or open a new incognito/private session then attempt to login into PowerReady. If logged in successfully, the old redirect URL should no longer appear in the Web section.

Note: * If you receive the following error when attempting to delete the URL (Error detail: Unable to remove redirectUri that is used as defaultRedirectUri), please follow the steps below before completing Step 6 and 7:

The setting for this is in the application's Manifest.

  1. In the Azure Portal, go to the App registration.
  2. On the left menu, click Manifest.
  3. In the JSON editor, find the defaultRedirectUri property. Its value will be the exact URI you are trying to delete. Change defaultRedirectUri: old_url, to defaultRedirectUri: null.
  4.  Click the Save button at the top of the manifest editor.
  5. Now, go back to the Authentication blade and delete the old URL as outlined in Step 5 above.
