Author 3.0 not allowing me to edit document in word

I have updated to the new author 3.0. I was able to edit a document through it earlier. It opened the document in word and I was able to save the revision on PowerDMS. Now, when I try to edit a document it only opens it as a PDF and will not allow me to edit it. Any help would be appreciated.

Default Groups for new PowerDMS users

When I create new users for PowerDMS for some reason they are given default access to the Executive Protection user group which they should not have access to. Is there a way to change what the default groups are for new users?

Every time I log into PowerDMS, it opens to the Consular Notification 1.1.4. It doesn't matter how I log off, or shut down the program, it always opens in that standard.

attaching lexipol policies to my assessment

I read the lexipol/powerdms integration and none of the sections work.  I don’t have any red circles and when i save my lexipol policy to my existing folder to import, I am unable to attach it to the standard.  My standard will show the red symbol on the paper, but when I click on it and say to accept the changes, there is no policy.
