As part of our ongoing commitment to job seeker account security, we updated our password management system yesterday January 8, 2025, at approximately around 3:00 AM PST. This security enhancement requires all job seekers to reset their passwords upon their next login in GovernmentJobs and SchoolJobs. Important: While the password reset process is functioning correctly for most users, we have identified an issue that occurs when the "Save Password" button is clicked multiple times during the reset. This can result in an error message and may prevent the password from saving properly. We are actively working to resolve this issue and expect to have a solution implemented as soon as possible today. Job seeker security and user experience are our top priorities. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your patience and understanding.

Hi Onboard users, We regret to inform you that our Winter 2025 Release has been postponed until tomorrow Wednesday, January 8. A minor issue occurred during our overnight release which prevented our team from proceeding as planned. Rest assured, the issue was related to one of our pre-release procedures and does not impact stability or quality of the release.  We are aware of an issue with the W4 and TD1 (for Canadian customers) where the background image does not display. Our team is looking into this and will try to resolve this as soon as possible. At the latest, you can expect the 2025 W4 Form and Canadian TD1 Form to be published in your accounts tomorrow morning.  We apologize for the delay. Hi all, We would like to inform you that our team has begun working on the 2025 Federal Form W4. You can expect the 2025 W4 to be available in production on January 7th, 2025. As mentioned in our previous post, there are no change to the fields. There are minor changes to the description text throughout the form as well as updated tax brackets on page 4. Please note that employees are not required to complete a new W4 and withholdings should continue based on a valid form previously completed. There are no expiration dates with the W4. However, special rules apply to employees claiming exemption from withholding on their W4s. If an employee claims exemption from withholding for 2024, they should submit a new W4 by February 15, 2025

After our recent update on Agency-Wide Questions on December 11, a problem was identified that affects application templates when any agency-wide question is inactivated. Specifically, this issue causes non-associated questions to be automatically linked to application templates, potentially affecting job applications by presenting candidates with unintended additional questions. Who is Affected?All agencies who have inactivated any agency-wide questions since the December 11 release are potentially impacted. What Should You Do?To ensure the integrity of your application process, we highly recommend the following actions: If you have inactivated agency-wide questions post-December 11, please review the associated application templates. Here is the navigation for admins: Go to Admin → Definition Tables → Application Templates → Choose AWQ. Verify and correct any incorrect question associations within your templates.

Last Friday, we announced that there was an issue with the Document Export Subscription that made it possible for forms exported in the past to be re-exported. Our team resolved this issue as of Monday night. We would like to apologize for the belated update as well as for any inconvenience this issue may have caused. Hi Onboard users, The 2025 version of the Federal Form W4 was published this morning to the IRS website. There seems to be no change to the fields upon initial review, with only minor changes to some description text on page 1. Hello, This notice pertains to agencies using the Document Export Subscription in Onboard. It was brought to our attention that the Document Export Subscription is exporting forms that may have been exported in the past. This is reported to primarily affect forms for terminated employees. This is because when an employee is terminated, the forms that are associated to that employee are archived.  Upon investigation, our team found this to be caused by an update we made on Monday morning, which expanded the Document Export logic to check for updates in form status. We apologize for any inconvenience or clean up this issue causes and encourage customers to check the Document Export files dating back to Monday, December 9th. Our team is actively working on fixing this, and will provide an update once this issue has been resolved. The December 2024 Insight Enhancement Release scheduled for December 10th, which includes the new JobTarget job advertisement and Report Catalog features, has been postponed by one day to today, December 11th. Hi Onboard users, We want our customers based out of Canada to be aware that our team will begin working on the newest version of the Canadian TD1 Personal Tax Credits Return Form. You can expect the 2025 TD1 to be available in production on January 7th, 2025.Regarding the Federal W-4 Form -- the 2025 version of this form has not yet been released to the public.
