Winter 2025 Learn Enhancements Release Notes

NEOGOV's Learn Winter 2025 enhancement release will be deployed to production early on Thursday, February 6. All sites will be online for this release.  The Learn Winter 2025 release builds on the Summer 2024 enhancement, which introduced the ability for organizations to create External Learners by adding a CSV upload feature for bulk creation. This makes tracking and assigning training to non-employees easier and streamlines onboarding for contractors, volunteers, and partners.  Additionally, Risk Pool customers can now share attachments, such as syllabi, with Policyholders or Members to enhance training engagement and delivery. Please see the list of courses that will be retired on February 14, 2025. This list is part of our effort to avoid the sudden loss of vendor courses, as we have experienced in recent months. While many of these titles do not currently have replacements, we are actively working on bringing in great content in place of what has been removed. We look forward to sharing news on these efforts very soon. You may refer to the list of courses and their suggested replacements here. Please be sure that any Learning Plans are updated with the course replacements and remind users currently in progress to complete the course(s) prior to the retirement date. Eligible List Summary V2 - Report

A new Analytics & Reporting - Standard report is now available. You can now use the 'Eligible Summary List V2' report which is a replica of the old Insight Standard report. We wanted to remove the confusion with the existing standard report and give you the same data points you need to work with, without having to create any custom report or calculated fields. The existing 'Eligible Summary List' report will remain as it might be used in subscriptions by other users.

Action Required: HTTP/1.1 Access Ending Soon – February 17, 2025

To enhance security and improve performance, NEOGOV will discontinue support for HTTP/1.1 on February 17, 2025. Modern browsers including the most recent version of Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Microsoft Edge, and Safari support newer protocols (HTTP/2 and HTTP/3). Browsers that support HTTP/2 and HTTP/3 offer better encryption and faster load times, ensuring a secure and improved user experience. What You Need to Know: If you use an up-to-date browser or system, you don’t need to take action. If you use outdated software or devices, update your browser/system to avoid service disruptions. For IT administrators: Verify intermediate devices like proxies or firewalls fully support and allow HTTP/2 or HTTP/3. How to Prepare: Confirm you and your employees are using a modern web browser (a recent version of Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Microsoft Edge, and Safari) Share this information with your IT team and ask them to: Check your browsers for compatibility with HTTP/2 or HTTP/3. Improvements to the Password Reset Experience for Job Seekers

Here is an important update we've implemented to enhance the experience of Job seekers on our GovernmentJobs and SchoolJobs platform, following a recent security update that required all job seekers to reset their passwords. Why the Update? Recently, we noticed that some job seekers were experiencing difficulties during the password reset process. Specifically, users were resetting their passwords for one username (associated with a specific email address) but accidentally attempting to login with a different username. This led to an unnecessary loop of password resets, causing confusion among some Job seekers. What's New? To help you avoid this situation in the future, we've made the following usability improvements: Username Included in Password Reset Email: From now on, when Job seekers reset their GovernmentJobs/SchoolJobs password, the reset email will prominently display the username associated with the email address used for the reset. Analytics & Reporting Module - Winter 2025 - part II - Data Catalog - Release Notes

NEOGOV is pleased to announce our Winter 2025 Part II Enhancement Release for Analytics & Reporting module. The enhancements will be released to Production sites on January 23rd, 2025. All sites will remain online during the enhancement release.  If you're not seeing new features, please clear cache. Summary of Enhancements Data Catalog Only IN Users who have the following set of permissions can see and use Data Catalog:• Can View PII set to ON• Can View Confidential set to ON• Exam Plans scope set to ALL• New Report Builder ON checkbox selected• All Department access• Restricted Job Postings – no postings assigned Data Catalog functionality lets users download the entire set of data for a specific entity. Compared to the report types, the data in the entity is not limited to joins with other entities. Exporting an entity will give you all the data stored in that entity based on the filter defined. For most of the entities the max date range that can be exported is 3 years. A de

Onboard Winter 2025 Release Postponed by One Day

Hi Onboard users, We regret to inform you that our Winter 2025 Release has been postponed until tomorrow Wednesday, January 8. A minor issue occurred during our overnight release which prevented our team from proceeding as planned. Rest assured, the issue was related to one of our pre-release procedures and does not impact stability or quality of the release.  We are aware of an issue with the W4 and TD1 (for Canadian customers) where the background image does not display. Our team is looking into this and will try to resolve this as soon as possible. At the latest, you can expect the 2025 W4 Form and Canadian TD1 Form to be published in your accounts tomorrow morning.  We apologize for the delay. Important Notice: Password Reset Process Update for Job Seekers in Governmentjobs and SchoolJobs

As part of our ongoing commitment to job seeker account security, we updated our password management system yesterday January 8, 2025, at approximately around 3:00 AM PST. This security enhancement requires all job seekers to reset their passwords upon their next login in GovernmentJobs and SchoolJobs. Important: While the password reset process is functioning correctly for most users, we have identified an issue that occurs when the "Save Password" button is clicked multiple times during the reset. This can result in an error message and may prevent the password from saving properly. We are actively working to resolve this issue and expect to have a solution implemented as soon as possible today. Job seeker security and user experience are our top priorities. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your patience and understanding.

Update #2 Regarding the Federal Form W4

Hi all, We would like to inform you that our team has begun working on the 2025 Federal Form W4. You can expect the 2025 W4 to be available in production on January 7th, 2025. As mentioned in our previous post, there are no change to the fields. There are minor changes to the description text throughout the form as well as updated tax brackets on page 4. Please note that employees are not required to complete a new W4 and withholdings should continue based on a valid form previously completed. There are no expiration dates with the W4. However, special rules apply to employees claiming exemption from withholding on their W4s. Important Update: Action Required for Agency-Wide Questions Associated to Application Templates

After our recent update on Agency-Wide Questions on December 11, a problem was identified that affects application templates when any agency-wide question is inactivated. Specifically, this issue causes non-associated questions to be automatically linked to application templates, potentially affecting job applications by presenting candidates with unintended additional questions. Who is Affected?All agencies who have inactivated any agency-wide questions since the December 11 release are potentially impacted. What Should You Do?To ensure the integrity of your application process, we highly recommend the following actions: If you have inactivated agency-wide questions post-December 11, please review the associated application templates. Last Friday, we announced that there was an issue with the Document Export Subscription that made it possible for forms exported in the past to be re-exported. Update Regarding the Federal Form W4

Hi Onboard users, The 2025 version of the Federal Form W4 was published this morning to the IRS website. There seems to be no change to the fields upon initial review, with only minor changes to some description text on page 1. There are also updates to the tax brackets page 4.  Please note that employees are not required to complete a new W4 and withholdings should continue based on a valid form previously completed. Special rules apply to employees claiming exemption from withholding on their W4s. If an employee claims exemption from withholding for 2024, they should submit a new W4 by February 15, 2025. Our team will begin working on the newest version of the Federal Form W4.
